Choose your outfit wisely

Ditch the gym

If you can, try and ditch the gym in favour of workouts that you can do outside. After all, if you were going to spend 30 minutes running on the treadmill, you could just spend 30 minutes running outside instead. Recycle the old
If you’re the kind of person that loves to pound it out on the pavement, then you’ve probably worked your way through a large number of workout shoes over the years. While that’s nothing to be ashamed of, throwing out your old shoes isn’t the most eco-friendly way of disposing of them. Instead, see if you can recycle them.
While there’s no doubt about the fact that children and homeless shelters would love a donation like that, it would be unwise to do so if they are in irreparable condition. Thankfully, there’s another way to get rid of them. Nike offers a Reuse-A-Shoe programme, where customers can donate their old shoes – that aren’t necessarily from the Nike brand – and then reuse them to make new shoes, new apparel, and sometimes make surfaces for tennis courts, racing tracks, and more.
Move away from plastic
Single-use plastic is one of the biggest problems in our society, and they are also an issue for those who work out and exercise on a regular basis. That’s because most of the people who head to the gym or work up a sweat in the open air get thirsty, so they take a bottle of water along with them.
However, plastic bottles take hundreds of years to decompose, and this causes a problem when it comes to our landfill sites, our natural environment, and the animals of the world. This becomes even worse when people take a new plastic bottle with them every single day. So, why not ditch the plastic bottle in favour of a reusable one? There are so many reusable bottles out there designed for those who work out, so you’ll be spoiled for choice.
