The Best Vegan Chocolate Bars to Curb Your Sweet Cravings

Hands up if you love sweet treats? Well, we don’t blame you. If you’re the kind of person who loves to snack on something sugary as they’re typing away in the office or whether you’re someone who just can’t finish a meal without a biscuit or two, then we definitely feel your pain. Living life as a sweet-obsessed human is a lot of stress sometimes – especially if you’re vegan. That’s because it’s often hard to find chocolate and candy that doesn’t include milk, gelatine, or any other animal product. However, it doesn’t have to be. These are the best vegan chocolate bars to curb your sweet cravings.

Cadbury Bournville Buttons

If we could have a lifetime supply of Bournville (ahem, hint hint) then we would be extremely content forever and ever. After all, this name has been associated with some of the best dark chocolate in the game for years now. While you could chow down on a large bar of this chocolate, why not add some buttons into the mix? You just can’t go wrong with these tiny little buttons of joy.

Galaxy Crumbled Cookie Bar

Who knew that Galaxy had ventured into the world of vegan chocolate? As you can probably imagine, this seriously tickles our pickle. Since the launch of its new vegan range in 2019, Galaxy has since expanded into countless different flavours. You can have a taste of Caramel & Sea Salt, Smooth Orange, Caramelised Hazelnut, or Smooth Mint. If you want our opinion, though (even if you didn’t really ask for it), the Crumbled Cookie Bar is the best.

Tony’s Chocolonely Dark Chocolate, Almond & Sea Salt

Tony’s chocolate bars fill us with all kinds of nostalgia, and while you might be a little sad to know that the whole range isn’t suitable for vegans, there are two flavours that are suitable for those who choose the vegan way of life. Our particular favourite is the Chocolonely Dark Chocolate, Almond & Sea Salt flavour because, well, because it tastes as delicious as it sounds. Plus, Tony’s is committed to being a 100% fair trade business, so kudos to them.

Nomo Caramel & Sea Salt

If you’ve always been a bit sceptical about vegan chocolate because it often tastes a bit… strange, then you don’t need to worry when Nomo are around. These guys are famous for producing some of the most authentic – but vegan – chocolate in the sweet treats game. This is especially true when it comes to their Caramel & Sea Salt chocolate bar. It’s sweet, it’s salty, and it makes our stomachs feel all happy and fuzzy inside. In a good way, of course.

Vego Organic Hazelnut Chocolate Bar

Although you can only really buy the Vego Organic Hazelnut Chocolate Bar from health foods in the UK, it’s well worth the trip – even more so if you just can’t get enough of nut-filled chocolate. Vego is all about the hazelnuts with this particular chocolate bar, and it offers everything from hazelnut paste to hazelnut cocoa cream and whole hazelnuts, and it’s beyond anything we can even describe. Maybe just try it out for yourself and let the chocolatey goodness do the talking.

Vegan chocolate just isn’t as nice as non-vegan chocolate right? WRONG! There are so many amazing vegan chocolate bars out there, and we always have to have a selection of them all in our pockets just in case we ever get peckish. Which, you know, is all the time.
